What to do
Each morning, rate your sleep quality on a 1–5 scale (1 = terrible, 5 = excellent). Takes 10 seconds.
Why it works
Sleep quality correlates with physical and mental health more strongly than sleep duration. Tracking builds awareness of what improves or worsens your sleep, enabling better sleep hygiene decisions over time.
Research backing
Sleep quality, rather than duration alone, has been shown in longitudinal cohort studies to correlate more strongly with daytime mood, cardiovascular markers, and cognitive performance, making subjective quality tracking a meaningful complement to duration tracking.
